Entrepreneurship liberates One woman from Abuse



Entrepreneurship has turned out to be an effective path to independence, freedom, safety, and healing for women who have suffered emotional, physical and financial abuse by their partners. The long term hold of domestic abuse and violence can be easily overcome by gaining financial independence. Women are more able to stay out and move on from abusive relationships and ensure the well-being of their children and family. Entrepreneurship isn't an easy way to make a living and especially for those who have been subjected to abuse have extra challenges. But entrepreneurship is an awesome recovery tool indeed.

Tanya Targett, eWomenNetwork member turned her pain to perservance. After she lost everything at the hands of an abusive husband, she used her background to build a successful publicity business within months of achieving her independence. Now, Tanya shares her story to empower other women to take charge of their lives.
