Rachel Smith, DNP – BIO

Dr. Rachel Smith is a double board-certified nurse practitioner and the founder of Aspect Wellness. Rachel’s healthcare career has spanned over two decades with degrees and certifications from prestigious institutions like the University of Illinois, Midwifery Institute of Philadelphia University, Frontier Nursing University and Duke University. Her work has focused primarily on the care of women across the lifespan especially in the areas of cardiometabolic and hormonal health. After spending 12 years delivering babies as a nurse-midwife, she added a second degree as a family nurse practitioner so that she could care for the whole family. Having created and grown medical weight loss practices for two different medical practices, she launched her own concierge weight loss and hormone optimization practice, Aspect Wellness, in 2024.

She is passionate about helping women navigate the various, sometimes dramatic, physical and emotional changes that they encounter as they move through the childbearing years, menopause and beyond. Her goal is for every patient to have the education, evidence-based tools and compassionate support that they need to optimize their health and continue to thrive through every phase of life.

Rachel has published in medical journals, and online health sites and is an avid blogger. She is a frequent podcast guest and keynote speaker, breaking down the science behind medical weight loss, health optimization and the neuroscience of behavior change in a way that makes it easy to understand and apply.

In her free time, Rachel enjoys sailing, flying, cycling (on and off road), diving, running local 5ks, cooking and travel. She and her husband Rob are the parents of four grown kids and they reside in Parrish, FL.
