Break Mental Limits and Step Into Extraordinary Results

We’re diving into what actually breaks the ceiling on your life — not motivation, but mindset.

Your life changes the moment you question the limits you’ve been carrying… the moment you decide “average” is no longer your identity.

When you understand how your thoughts shape your emotions… and how your emotions direct your actions… you begin to see that extraordinary results start internally — not externally.

This is about mastering your inner dialogue, upgrading your beliefs, and aligning your energy with the future you’re building.

When you shift what you believe about what’s possible for you — the results follow.

This is how you break mental limits… and step into extraordinary outcomes.

Get Ready to Sell: How to Warm Up Your Audience Before Year-End Offers

October is a powerful month in business—not because it’s launch season or the fourth quarter, but because it’s the perfect window to reconnect.

The next few months are packed with opportunities like Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Small Business Saturday, Giving Tuesday, holiday sales, and end-of-year promotions.

If you’re planning to sell, promote, or rally support in any of these seasons, the work starts now. Waiting until late November to show up in your audience’s inbox or feed again will make every message feel like a cold pitch.

October is your warm-up season. This is your time to rebuild the bridge between you and your audience—re-establish trust, remind them why they connected with you in the first place, and show up consistently so that when you do make an offer, it feels natural and welcome.

Here are ways to start warming up your audience right now, without pressure or perfection.

Re-Engage Gently With Value-First Content

You don’t have to come back with a big announcement or heavy promotion. What people need from you right now is warmth, presence, and a reminder of why they liked hearing from you in the first place.

Share something useful, personal, or human—a small insight that helped you this month, a tool that’s saving you time, or a behind-the-scenes look at what you’re creating. Even a short “here’s what I’ve been up to” update can go a long way.

Think of it like walking back into a room after being gone for a while, you’d say hello before talking business. Lead with generosity, not urgency.

Quarter 4 Checklist for Women Entrepreneurs: Grow Your Business and End the Year Strong

One of Sandra's favorite mottos is "Plan, Do, Review." Which is why, as the year comes to a close, the beginning of Quarter 4 is the perfect time to review the past, take stock of the present, and plan for what’s ahead.

This final stretch of the year is often busy with time away from family and friends for the holidays, but with a well-crafted plan and intention, it can set up Quarter 1 and beyond for future growth.

Here’s a strategic Q4 checklist to help women business owners step back, get a clear view, and finish the year with purpose and strength.

Reflect On And Adjust Annual Goals

Q4 is the perfect time to reflect on the year and evaluate your progress.

Did your business grow as expected?

Were your targets realistic?

Which goals weren’t hit and why?

What major obstacles did you face and how did you overcome them?

What key lessons did we learn this year?

Reflecting on successes and challenges will help you adjust plans and maintain flexibility, which is essential for long-term success.

Try It Out: Hold a year-in-review meeting with your team (or by yourself if you’re a solo entrepreneur). Reflect on what worked, what didn’t, and what you’d like to change for next year.

Get a Handle on Your Finances

Financial planning is the foundation for sustainable business growth. As the year wraps up, it’s time to dive into your business finances to make sure you’re closing the year profitably while preparing for a solid start in the next quarter. Early tax planning and budgeting for new initiatives will give you a strong foundation.

Try It Out: Meet with your accountant or financial advisor to review cash flow, year-end expenses, and any potential tax deductions. If you don’t have an accountant, use financial software to generate reports and identify any financial gaps.

The Most Underrated Business Skill: Listening

When we talk about business growth, we often focus on bold moves—strong positioning, strategic offers, powerful messaging, and visible leadership.

And all of that matters.

But there’s one skill that rarely makes the headline, even though it supports everything else: Listening.

Not just hearing someone out while waiting for your turn to speak.

Not scrolling through social media comments with half your attention.

Real listening. The kind that creates trust, clarity, and lasting connection.

In today’s fast-moving, content-saturated world, listening is a business superpower. And for women entrepreneurs, it’s often the thing that makes the difference between transactions and transformation.

Here’s why listening matters and how to strengthen it in your business.

Listening Builds Real Trust

People don’t buy from you because you talk the loudest or show up the most. They buy because they feel understood. And the only way to truly understand your audience, your team, or your clients—is to listen.

Active listening means you’re not trying to fix, pitch, or reply right away. You’re receiving what’s being said (and often what’s not being said) with your full attention. It builds trust fast because people can feel when they’re being heard.

Try It Out: The next time you're in a client call or conversation, pause before responding. Reflect back what you heard. Ask one follow-up question before offering a solution.

Listening Gives You Better Marketing Language

You don’t need to “come up with” the perfect content idea or headline. Your audience will literally tell you if you’re paying attention.

The most effective messaging doesn’t come from a copywriting formula. It comes from repeating your audience’s own words back to them. This is what makes them feel seen.

Where to listen:

In discovery calls or client sessions

In email replies and DMs

In surveys, testimonials, and even objections

In conversations at networking events

Try It Out: Start a “Voice of the Customer” note on your phone or computer. Every time you hear a phrase or question you could create content from, write it down. Let your people give you the words.

How To Craft Your Perfect Elevator Pitch

It can feel surprisingly hard to explain what you do in just a few sentences, especially when you're caught off guard.....

Maybe you’ve been in that moment where someone at a networking event or conference turns to you and asks, “So, what do you do?” and suddenly your brain short-circuits. You ramble, rush, or give a vague answer that doesn’t quite capture the brilliance of your work.

Most of us have been there.

And most of us have also seen the other side, too. We’ve seen the woman who introduces herself with confidence and clarity—the one whose words land effortlessly and make you want to learn more about what she does.

Here’s the thing: That kind of clarity doesn’t happen by chance. It happens when you take a few minutes to think it through before you're in the spotlight.

In this post, you’ll learn how to craft an elevator pitch that feels natural, true to your voice, and actually opens the door for real connection.

What an Elevator Pitch Is (and What It’s Not)

Let’s start by resetting expectations and learning a little bit more about what an elevator pitch actually is (and isn’t).

An elevator pitch is not:

A memorized commercial

A list of all your offers

A pressure-filled, one-shot moment to impress someone

Instead, a great elevator pitch is:

A short, clear way to describe who you help and what you help them do

A conversation starter, not a monologue

A reflection of your voice, your energy, and your brand personality

Think of it like this: if you had 30 seconds in an elevator or at a roundtable to introduce yourself, what would help someone quickly understand the kind of work you do and maybe even want to know more?

Follow the steps below to craft or refine your elevator pitch.

Quarter 3 Checklist For Busy Business Owners

We’re stepping into Quarter 3, and whether you feel ahead of the curve or like the curve has been chasing you, this is your opportunity to pause, reset, and realign.

Q3 is a season of refinement. Summer often brings a different rhythm, which makes it the perfect time to look at your business with fresh eyes. The momentum you build now can carry you through the rest of the year with clarity, intention, and results.

This checklist is designed to help you clear the clutter, tighten your focus, and stay consistent, without adding more to your plate.

1. Reconnect with Your Yearly Goals

Before you sprint into strategy, take a moment to zoom out. Revisit the goals you set at the beginning of the year. What still feels aligned? What needs to evolve?

Ask yourself:

Which goals are already in motion?

Which ones no longer serve my direction?

Where do I need to recommit or adjust course?

Try It Out: Choose one goal to focus on for Q3 and outline three simple benchmarks to help you stay on track.

2. Refine Your Offers

If your calendar feels full but your sales feel scattered, it may be time to simplify your offers or refine your messaging. Your audience craves clarity and so does your business.

Ask yourself:

Are my offers clear and easy to buy?

Am I solving a problem that my ideal client still cares about?

Do I have a seasonal offer or lead-in that aligns with summer or early fall?

Try It Out: Audit your offers page or services menu. Remove anything outdated and spotlight what’s most aligned right now.

3. Refresh Your Visibility Strategy

Visibility doesn’t mean showing up everywhere; it means showing up with purpose. If your content feels inconsistent or disconnected, Q3 is a great time to re-establish a rhythm.

Ask yourself:

Where is my audience spending time this season?

Am I showing up with the kind of content I want to be known for?

What can I repurpose instead of recreate?

Try It Out: Choose one weekly visibility anchor (a blog, newsletter, podcast, or post series) and recommit to it for the next 90 days.

4. Re-Engage Your Community

If engagement has dipped or your list feels quiet, this is a good moment to reconnect. Summer is slower for some, busier for others, but either way, a warm, personal message can reignite interest and conversation.

Ask yourself:

When was the last time I asked for feedback or insight?

Have I shared recent wins, lessons, or stories?

What can I offer that adds value without asking for anything in return?

Try It Out: Send a personal email or DM to your top clients or audience champions. Ask how they’re doing and what they’re focused on right now.

A Step By Step Guide To Raising Your Rates

Today, we are excited to welcome Markey Read, one of our Premier Success Coaches, to the eWomenNetwork blog as our guest writer. In the article below, Markey shares a formula we can use to ensure our pricing reflects our true value. Welcome, Markey!

"How much should I charge for my workshops, coaching programs, books, and services?"

If you’ve asked yourself this question—more than once—you’re not alone. In fact, it might be the most common (and emotionally loaded) question I hear from women entrepreneurs.

For many, it’s not just about pricing—it’s about self-worth, imposter syndrome, and the fear of hearing no. We second-guess ourselves, worry about losing clients, and discount our magic before we’ve even offered it.

The short answer? You can charge whatever you want.

The better answer? You can charge what you’re truly W.O.R.T.H.—once you learn to price with confidence and attract clients who value you.

But how do you get there? After working with thousands of women entrepreneurs, I saw the same struggles pop up over and over—uncertainty about pricing, hesitation around sales, and offers that didn’t reflect the real magic of their work.

I didn’t always know how to price confidently either—early in my business, I gave away too much, undercharged, and overdelivered. That’s part of what led me to develop the W.O.R.T.H. Method—a clear, empowering path to help you price with clarity, confidence, and ease.

It’s more than just a pricing formula. It’s a mindset shift—a way to reshape how you value your work, structure your services, and speak to the people who are ready to pay you what you’re worth.

Pricing isn’t just about numbers—it’s about alignment, confidence, and clarity. When you build your business around your W.O.R.T.H., you don’t just make more money—you create more impact, more ease, and more joy.

HOW TO TELL STORIES CLIENTS LISTEN TO, ENGAGE WITH, AND BUY FROM

If you are an entrepreneur who has absolute conviction in the quality of your product or the outstanding service you provide.... congratulations! You have a foundation of integrity and values your clients appreciate!

The problem comes when you try to speak or write about your product, and people nod with mild interest... and walk away. More often then not, their reaction is a NON-reaction... not a judgement of your outstanding product.  They are not feeling you, they have no emotional connection to the product, and have no sense of your vision beyond selling "your thing". In other words, you don't have a story that grabs their hearts and makes them want to believe in what you can do for them. Let's change all that today!

Karen McGregor

CEO

Karen McGregor is a Wall Street Journal bestselling author, international speaker, TEDx and Dragon’s Den coach, trainer and the founder/ CEO of Home of Impact Entrepreneurs. Law and the Female Entrepreneur

 Law and the Female Entrepreneur

Presentation for female entrepreneurs on the legal issues they should consider when becoming an entrepreneur, ranging from organizational structure to partnership agreements and the other types of issues for which they should consider legal assistance prior to diving in to a new business. The presentation will cover the formation of the business entity and issues that the entrepreneur should consider, as well as the potential contract documents and registrations that she might need.  The basic takeaway is that one should not consult with competent legal and financial counsel prior to opening a business.  And, if she is already in business, identify some of the potential issues that she should be aware of as her business grows.

The presentation does not constitute legal advice; however, my legal background and experience with business provide a framework for identifying those legal pitfalls that an entrepreneur may not have previously considered.
