What Women Business Owners Need to Know About Google's Biggest Search Update in 25 Years

On May 19, 2026, Google announced the biggest change to its search engine in more than 25 years. The traditional search experience, the one where you type a few words and get a list of links, is being fundamentally rebuilt around AI.

If you are a business owner who relies on being found online, this matters. The way potential clients find you is changing, and understanding what that means will help you stay visible while others scramble to catch up.

What Actually Changed

Google has redesigned its search experience to be driven by AI from the ground up.

Instead of simply showing a list of websites in response to a search, Google now generates AI-powered summaries, interactive experiences, and in some cases, personalized results that can draw from your own Google account data like emails and documents.

The search bar itself has been redesigned to encourage longer, more conversational questions rather than short keywords.

What this means in practical terms is that Google is increasingly answering people's questions directly on the search results page rather than sending them to your website.

The era of someone searching for a question, clicking a link, and landing on your site is not over entirely, but it is shrinking significantly.

Try It Out: Search for a question that your ideal client might ask about your industry. Look at the results page and notice whether Google provides an AI-generated answer at the top. If it does, pay attention to what kind of content is being referenced in that answer. This will give you a real sense of how your potential clients are experiencing search right now.

Why This Matters for Small and Service-Based Businesses

For years, many entrepreneurs have relied on Google as a primary way for new clients to discover their business.

You invest in a website, write blog content, optimize your pages, and hope that when someone searches for the kind of help you provide, your business appears in the results.

That system is not broken, but it is changing in ways that require a different approach.

A growing majority of Google searches provide a contextualized answer to someone without ever visiting a website. For informational searches, especially, Google's AI summaries often provide enough of an answer that the user never scrolls down to the traditional results.

Try It Out: Check your Google Business Profile to make sure it is fully updated with accurate contact information, services, hours, and recent photos.

5 Hidden Revenue Opportunities Hiding in Your Business

If you’re staring down the last stretch of the year, wondering how to bring in more revenue before December 31, take a breath. You don’t need to launch something brand-new, overhaul your offer suite, or spin up a complicated campaign.

You already have what you need.

Most entrepreneurs are sitting on untapped opportunities they can activate with a few small adjustments. The key is learning to see your business with fresh eyes—to spot what’s already working and make it work harder for you.

Here are five hidden revenue generators worth uncovering before the year ends.

Bundle or Repackage What’s Already Selling

Look at your top-performing products, programs, or services. Is there a way to package them together, refresh the positioning, or create a “holiday edition”?

A small shift in presentation can make a familiar offer feel brand-new. Bundle two best-sellers into a value pack. Add a short bonus call to your coaching package. Combine three micro-trainings into one themed series. You’re not reinventing the wheel, you’re giving it a reason to roll again.

Try It Out: Choose one existing offer and brainstorm two quick ways to bundle or repackage it for a limited-time promotion.

Add an Easy Upsell or Fast-Action Bonus

When someone’s already ready to buy, that’s the perfect time to increase value. A simple add-on, upgrade, or limited-window bonus can raise your average order size with almost zero extra effort.

Examples: a VIP upgrade call, a template library add-on, or a “join in the next 48 hours and get ___” fast-action bonus. Small incentives move buyers from interested to all in.

Try It Out: Review your checkout process or client proposal and identify one logical next-step add-on you can offer immediately.

Re-Engage Past Clients and Customers

Your warmest leads are the ones who’ve already said yes. Yet most business owners rarely reach back out once a project ends or a product is delivered.

Reconnect personally. A quick “how have you been?” email, a loyalty discount, or an invite-only opportunity can re-ignite old relationships. You’re not chasing new business—you’re nurturing the connections you’ve already earned.

Try It Out: Make a short list of five past clients or customers and send each a personal note this week with no hard sell, just a genuine reconnection.

How Hobbies Help You Maintain Work-Life Balance

As a female entrepreneur, it’s easy to feel like you’re constantly on the go, juggling responsibilities and wearing multiple hats. When you’re running a business, the temptation to “hustle” around the clock is real. It seems like there are never enough hours to get everything done! However, constant work without breaks can lead to stress, fatigue, and reduced creativity.

Hobbies are one of our favorite ways to prevent burnout and maintain work-life balance. They aren’t just about killing time or having fun. They give us the mental, emotional, and physical reset we need to show up as the best versions of ourselves in life and business.

Hobbies remind you that there’s more to life than work, and they help you return to your business with renewed energy and focus.

Hobbies Help You Set Boundaries

Hobbies provide a natural way to set boundaries by giving you something to focus on outside your business. When you carve out time for hobbies, you signal to yourself and others that rest and recreation are non-negotiable parts of your routine.

Try It Out: Identify a hobby that excites you and schedule time for it on your calendar. Don’t forget to stick to it and show up like you would for a work meeting.

Hobbies Provide a Healthy Outlet for Stress

Owning a business comes with its fair share of stress. Hobbies can act as a release valve, giving you a constructive way to blow off steam and manage tension. Physical activity like running, yoga or hiking are great ways to manage stress and cortisol levels.

7 Conditions of Success | Business networking Dallas TX

 7 Conditions of Success

Today, we will be discussing 7 Conditions of Success and how to implement them into your daily routines easily and effortlessly.

If we surveyed a group of 100 successful people and ask them what success means, we would get 100 different answers. Success is subjective. But if we took that same group of people and began asking them about HOW they achieved success, we would notice similarities from how they think, how they speak, what actions they take to their the emotions they feel and the beliefs and values they possess. In other words, success is less about WHAT we think. It’s about HOW we think.

When we model our thoughts, words and actions in a way that successful people do, we inherently set ourselves up for more and higher levels of success in our own lives and businesses.

Top Networking Strategies for Women Entrepreneurs in 2024

As 2024 unfolds, networking remains a pivotal element of entrepreneurial success. For women entrepreneurs, it’s an opportunity to forge meaningful connections, open doors to new possibilities, and catalyze growth. In the digital age, networking transcends traditional handshakes and business cards, evolving into a sophisticated art that leverages technology, nurtures relationships, and builds communities. Let’s explore the top networking strategies that can empower women entrepreneurs this year.

The Digital-First Networking Landscape

The shift toward a digital-first networking approach has redefined how connections are made and maintained. Embracing this trend can significantly broaden your networking scope.

Optimize Your LinkedIn Presence:

LinkedIn continues to be a professional networking powerhouse. Ensure your profile is polished, with a professional photo, a compelling bio, and a narrative that showcases your achievements and aspirations. Regularly post insightful content, engage with your connections’ updates, and contribute to discussions within your industry groups.

Virtual Networking Events:

With the rise of virtual conferences and online workshops, the opportunities to network have multiplied. These platforms often provide dedicated features for networking, such as virtual “coffee breaks,” breakout rooms, or interactive Q&A sessions, allowing for valuable exchanges in a virtual setting.

Building Meaningful Connections

Authenticity is the cornerstone of meaningful professional relationships. It's not just about expanding your network; it's about deepening the connections within it.

Focus on Depth:

Quality trumps quantity when it comes to connections. Cultivate relationships with individuals and organizations that align with your business ethos and personal values.

Personalized Follow-Ups:

After initial interactions, reach out with personalized messages that reference specific points from your conversation. It demonstrates your genuine interest and can set the foundation for a lasting professional relationship.

Expand Beyond Your Industry

Innovation thrives on diverse perspectives. Expanding your networking circle beyond your immediate industry can lead to unexpected collaborations and insights.

Cross-Industry Networking:

Attend cross-industry events and participate in diverse forums to gain insights that could benefit your business in unique ways.

Join Empowering Groups:

Groups dedicated to supporting women in business, such as eWomenNetwork, can be incredibly valuable. They offer a supportive backdrop for connecting, learning, and growing alongside fellow women entrepreneurs.

Smart Social Media Engagement

Social media platforms are more than just marketing channels; they’re networking hubs ripe with potential for making and strengthening professional connections.

Instagram for Brand Storytelling:

Use Instagram to share your entrepreneurial journey, celebrate milestones, and connect with your audience through stories and posts.

Define and Locate Your Ideal Online Client

Whether your business is service-based or brick-and-mortar, you need an effective online marketing strategy. Strategy is the key here. You can't just throw up a website and randomly post on Facebook and hope for the best. You might as well be a grain of sand in a vast ocean and hope that someone finds you. The most important thing is to define and locate your ideal online client. Once you do, then you can get to work on promoting your business to the right people at the right time in the right way.

How do you identify your ideal client? Tell us below!

Define Your Ideal Client

You probably hear a lot about the term, "target market."  eWomenNetwork CEO, Sandra Yancey, says "target markets" are for big business who can afford millions of dollars in marketing and advertising to find and market to their target audience. The rest of us entrepreneurs are looking for our "ideal client."

One way to define your ideal client is to look at who is following you on twitter, commenting on your Facebook feeds, connecting with you on LinkedIN, who is opening your promotional emails and who is downloading your free offer from your website. What does their profile say? What do they like? Dislike? Where do they live? Are they married? Do they have children?

Basically, you want to know the demographics and psychographics of your audience, so you can find your ideal client.

The Art of Work-Life Balance for the Entrepreneurial Woman

We're here today with some much-needed real talk about work-life balance in the lives of entrepreneurial women. As part of the women's business network and women's networking groups, we know that being a business owner is a thrilling ride, but it can also be a demanding and time-consuming endeavor, am I right?

Women entrepreneur blogs feature insightful content and valuable resources, aimed at supporting and inspiring female business owners as they navigate the challenges and triumphs of their entrepreneurial journey.

Set Boundaries and Stick to Them

A boundary by definition is a solid barrier that is not to be budged, and as a woman entrepreneur, I found that the more balls I juggle the more curveballs are likely to get through on my way. Curveballs rarely can be ignored and rarely do they stick within my non-budegable boundaries. So instead of boundaries, I believe the secret to feeling a sense of balance while juggling it all this more so having clear non-negotiables, non-negotiables allow you to be fluid in the way in which they happen. And when a curveball gets thrown into the juggling rotation, I find it way easier to balance, my curveball within that rotation than I do a boundary. It’s a small paradigm shift that has made a world of a difference in my sanity trying to create balance.

Prioritize and Delegate

As members of women's networking groups and entrepreneurial women, it's natural to feel the need to do it all. However, it's important to prioritize tasks and learn to delegate when necessary. By focusing on high-priority tasks and assigning less critical responsibilities to team members, you can free up time for personal activities and self-care without compromising your business's success.

Schedule Personal Time

Just as you would schedule important meetings and work tasks within the women's business network, it's crucial to schedule personal time in your calendar. Whether it's exercising, spending time with loved ones, or indulging in a hobby, penciling in personal time ensures you prioritize self-care and maintain balance in your life.

Cultivate a Supportive Network

A strong support system is invaluable for entrepreneurial women in women's networking groups. Surround yourself with like-minded individuals who understand your goals and challenges. Networking with other entrepreneurs or joining women-focused business groups can offer a sense of community, encouragement, and opportunities to learn from others' experiences.

Discover our thriving community of like-minded individuals by clicking here, and join us in sharing experiences, knowledge, and support on your entrepreneurial adventure!

Success Reimagined 3.0

Success Reimagined 3.0 was one for the ages!  And I’m not just saying that because we spent several days assembling lightboxes, though I am incredibly happy you all seem to love them so much!

What SR 3.0 looked like in Dallas.

While the Yancey trio was on stage in South Carolina, I got to enjoy SR 3.0 from the comfort of my desk. It worked out phenomenally well, because my dog just had surgery and Sandra and Kym were kind enough to let me bring him to the office for the duration of the event.  Unrelated, I know, but I had to give a shout out to bosses who are so understanding and accommodating before diving into all the brilliance Success Reimagined 3.0 had to offer!

Sandra on Imagination. When we’re little we’re taught that imagination is a great thing.  It teaches us to learn, grow, create, and relate.  But as we get older, that same imagination we were once praised for, slowly becomes unrealistic or childish. With each day that passes into adulthood, with every loan that is signed, and with each credit card that’s opened, the magic of possibility seems to slip from our grasp just a little bit more.  So often it seems that the lives we’re building are also subtly boxing us into a corner where imagination and possibility are further from reality than they ever were when we were children.  Sandra’s reminder that imagination enhances the business rather than detracts from it, was a game changer.

The Tune of Your Brand. Who else had their mind-blown thinking about the sound of their brand?  Even if you’re not the face of your business’s brand, you are your brand. It’s so easy to get hung up on colors, fonts, and logos (all of which are incredibly important, mind you), that it can be easy to forget about the FEEL of the brand.  How many of us hear a song and it makes us think of someone we know?  Identifying the feel of your brand through music is an eye-opener.  PS: My personal brand’s song is She’s a Rainbow by The Rolling Stones.  In case you

Content Pillars. Briana’s talk on creating influence was a favorite.  For one thing, I loved how she made the very valid point, that to be an influencer you must be someone people want to be influenced by.  Additionally, utilizing the content pillar and brain-mapping method is such outstanding advice when you think of how social media is an ongoing commitment.  Not running out of content is kind of essential, so identifying those 3-5 categories you could talk about forever and then honing in on how to make that content entertain, educate, and engage is pretty darn huge.

Michael Gerber.  For those who’ve attended eWN events in the past, I think we can all agree that Michael brought a different flavor to the SR 3.0 stage.  His conversation with Sandra and Kym was spicy and authentic.  Whether you love or hate is style or whether you agree (or disagree) with his thoughts on entrepreneurs vs. technicians, we are a networking organization, and some of the best lessons we can learn come from conversations with people who think differently than we do. If you only listen to people who reinforce what you already believe, you’re missing out.

I’m Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter. I loved this part of SR 3.0 not just because I’m a huge bookworm who is always down for a good fiction recommendation, but because it’s so valuable to think on how the way we were raised impacts our professional behavior, goals, and the way we live our lives. Our parents and families love us, but they don’t always understand us. Hearing Sandra’s story through that lens was powerful.  I definitely didn’t cry though. I did not. I absolutely did not. That was you…

THE DIP. Briana’s reaction to learning her parents used to take dance classes was adorable.  And insisting they do the dip was *chef’s kiss.  Sandra and Kym can consider this advance notice that we expect an encore dip on stage at ICON 2022. That’s more than six months to practice.  Don’t let us down!

5 Business Trends to Expect in 2022

It was just less than two years ago when our whole world changed.  No matter how different we think we are from the people we meet, the events that began in early 2020 intrinsically connect us all as the global pandemic has become a cultural touchstone and forever changed who we are as people and how we do business.

As we all shake off the debris of these tumultuous times, let’s take a look at what we can expect as we march forward into 2022.

The Gig Economy. For years employees worked long hours with a growth in income far below that of the 20th century. When the pandemic hit, businesses had varied reactions as to what to do with their employees, which left a good portion of the workforce feeling jaded and revaluating their career choices. Enter the great resignation.  The Gig Economy was already on the uptick, but the pandemic really put a spotlight on the benefits of this kind of work.  Meaning the economy has opened a window for companies that offer gig work opportunities, management, and support.

Going digital is no longer optional, it’s a necessity. Millennials and Gen Z combined make up over half the US population.  And while Millennials in particular have less wealth than their parents, they are still an economic powerhouse for buying and influence. Both generations are digital natives, companies without websites, apps, and other ways to digitally conduct business will be left behind and in some cases be seen as illegitimate or less trust-worthy to Millennial and Gen Z buyers.

The future of events will be hybrid. While the explosion of online events initially came out of necessity, it offered an alternate experience for those who never engaged in live events.  Devotees of in-person events will return to their preferred event method, while those who enjoyed the convenience of online events will expect those opportunities to continue in some form, so it’s important not to abandon online events entirely as the world continues to take steps towards reopening.
