Why Women Entrepreneurs Aren’t Getting Funded



As we have come far in the gender equality movement, we still have got ways to go! There are still many obstacles faced by the female entrepreneurs. A report by US Senate Committee reveals women account for only 16 percent of conventional small business loans and 17 percent of SBA loans even though they represent 30 percent of all small companies.

Women Entrepreneurs are not only struggling to get funded, but when they are approved, they are getting smaller sums as compared to male counterpart. Among the conventional business loans, women only account for 4.4% of total dollar value!There are a few reasons why women aren't accessing capital. Self-confidence and a willingness to assume risks are also the factors!
